2024 Tribal Environmental Excellence Award
Our 2024 recipient for the Environmental Excellence Award is Oxcenia O’Domin from Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC). She joined ANTHC in 1020 with a passion and primary focus on support of local solutions to environmental challenges in rural Alaskan Communities. She is the senior program manager for tribal capacity and training programs where she collaborates with local governments to build strong environmental communities.
Oxcenia is originally from Chignik Lake, Alaska, and a member of the Unga Tribe. Her family ties span the Bristol Bay, Aleutian, and Kodiak Island regions. Her team at ANTCH hosts the Alaska Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (ATCEM) and this is the 30th year of that conference. Over 500 participants from throughout Alaska and around the country attended this event.
